Interesting opinion to say the least…
Just by reading the title of your post made me uncomfortable. Then, that quote seems even more out of place. Then, I read the article and felt a bit less uneasy given the context of that quote. Nevertheless, I think it is giving Google (I am forever thankful for their search engine!) and the potential of Wi-Fi a bit too much of importance in the physical world. By the sound of it, I wonder how we made it through the first few thousands of years without easy access to Internet all time of the day! Yet, I think that we have managed pretty good up to now without Wi-Fi, without efficient global networks of information, without search engines to help us find the tiniest piece of random information that we want in the middle of the night, etc. (Yeah, I am saying « we » as if I have made some kind of contribution, ha ha). I don’t think we can downplay the role of traditional means of communications neither, even with this cool new toy.
